Arctic Village, Alaska (August 3 – 10)   Leaders: Charlie Swaney, David Radcliff  Cost: $875 (plus airfare to and from Fairbanks) Visit this north-of-the-Arctic Circle community - Gwich’in by birth, caribou by culture. Meet Arctic advocacy groups in Fairbanks, then travel by small plane (included in registration) to Arctic Village. Learn about the threat of drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and the impacts of global warming. Hike and camp in sight of the Brooks Range, eat traditional foods, experience Gwich’in life and customs, maybe see migrating caribou. Spectacular!
