About the Event

Traveling by boat and foot, explore the jungle and its plants, animals, birds and medicines, led by NCP friend and Siona shaman Delio. Typical sightings include toucans, macaw, pink dolphins, sloths, interesting insects and a variety of reptiles. Stay in comfy forest lodges and communities. Intereact with shamans and locals who teach us about their culture and lifestyles. Learn about threats posed by palm oil, petroleum, gold mining, settlers. Come home with a better sense of our connectivity with this keystone ecosystem.  Cost: $975 ($900: student) plus airfare to/from Quito, Ecuador. Here is the album from our 2023 trip.
