About the Event
Experience the beauty and biodiversity of this amazing part of our earth. We'll see all manner of monkeys, Pink River Dolphins, a wide assortment of birds, and hopefully sloth, snakes, and maybe Capybara. We will visit several different native communities, learning about their culture and the challenges they face. We will take the toxic tour to see impacts of petroleum production and will also get an up-close look at the damage being done to the rainforest by palm oil plantations. Lodging will be in modest hotels and then a native-run jungle lodge. Leaders: Delio, Diego Prado, David Radcliff. Cost: $975 ($900 - student)
