About the Event

Experience the beauty and biodiversity of this amazing part of our earth. We'll see all manner of monkeys, Pink River Dolphins, a wide assortment of birds, and hopefully sloth, snakes, and maybe Capybara. We visit several different native communities, learning about their culture and the challenges they face. There's a toxic tour to see impacts of petroleum production and will also get an up-close look at the damage being done to the rainforest by palm oil plantations. Lodging will be in modest hotels and then a native-run jungle lodge. Leaders: Delio, Diego Prado, David Radcliff. Cost: $975 ($900 - student
