About the Event

Leader: Tom Benevento  Cost: $75 (for youth ages 12-15) 

This Learning Tour is designed for urban youth who have limited access to the beauty and power of nature. It will begin at NCPs sustainable living center in Harrisonburg, VA for an orientation in team building, earth care, and backpacking skills , traveling then travel to the heart of the Shenandoah National Park for a four day wilderness camping adventure. We will be hiking sections of the Appalachian trail, White Oat trail, and climb Old Rag mountain, exploring how humans and nature are connected and how to make a difference to care for our world.
