About the Event

Leaders: Delio, David Radcliff, Cost: $975 ($950—student) (plus airfare to and from Quito) Head deep into the Amazon Rainforest to the “non-touristy” areas to experience one of the most biodiverse – and threatened – spots on earth. Explore the rainforest, guided by Siona shaman Delio and guide/interpreter Diego Prada; see monkeys, birds, pink dolphins, the ceiba tree (“Spirit Tree”)—maybe even a jaguar or anteater; observe the impacts of oil drilling, palm oil and ranching; visit indigenous Siona, Cofan, Kichwah, Shuar and Secopai native communities and NCP forest preservation efforts; accommodations in comfortable native-owned lodges while in the forest.
